1000 Books Before Kindergarten

Join our challenge to have every child read 1000 books before they enter Kindergarten!

Reading is so important to children and it’s one of the easiest ways to bond with your little one. Numerous studies estimate that as many as one in five children have difficulties learning to read. Reading has been associated as an early indicator of academic success. The 1000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge is a simple (read a book, any book to your child, with the goal of reading 1,000 before kindergarten) and very manageable endeavor.

For every 100 books your child reads, we will give you a sticker and a certificate. If you read 1000 books and log them through the ReadSquared app (or with the paper reading logs), we will provide you with a free book just for you.

The ReadSquared app is free and can be found on the App Store and Google Play Store. You may also follow the link below for more information.
